Apr 2012 Discovery launches Outlaw Empires

The creator of FX's acclaimed biker drama Sons of Anarchy is launching an unscripted series on Discovery Channel that profiles the world's most notorious gangs and crime families.

Produced by Studio Lambert, the series examines crime organizations such as the Crips street gang, the Irish Mob, a Latin American crime family, the Aryan Brotherhood and outlaw bikers.

It premieres on May 14 at 10p.
